The origins

Many plants, and the products derived from them, have been used for thousands of years to relieve pain, aid in the healing of wounds and diseases, kill bacteria and other infectious agents, and maintain the health of humans and animals.

The active ingredients

The list of physiological and pharmacological properties of aromatic molecules, i.e. biological targets of the active principles of essences, includes almost all organs and all functions of the body, from skin problems to psychological disorders. Common feature of all these molecules are their small size and a certain lipophilicity, characteristics that explain their great rapidity of action.

Another aspect of great importance to emphasize is that every scent, and consequently also the essential oils, after being picked up by the olfactory cells of the nose, causes a neurological response that leads directly to the limbic system, the most primitive part of the brain, which oversees the management of emotions, which is why the aromatherapy, even at the psycho-physiological level, gets extremely rapid reactions and involving.
